Title: Can't spell drive without D(MV)! Posing in front of the Pleasanton DMV, Bryce is beaming from delight from acquiring his driver's license on August 24th, 2022. As he turned 17 almost exactly a month prior, he was feeling the external pressures from family and friends to finally obtain the legal pretense to drive.

Framing A Subject

Image
Pictured: Jay contemplating his life, which seems to be running in circles lately. Pictured: Sharanika, who has fallen in love Pictured: Jayminn illustrating the strongest shape in engineering. 1.  Did I create strong composition? I would say the compositions were pretty strong, because each subject is framed within a different shape, and the subjects are centered. 2. How well did I edit my photographs? I think that the photos were edited pretty well, because I made sure to make the subjects more appealing with Camera Raw Filter,  and I removed unnecessary space from the original photographs. 3. What would I do differently if I shot this assignment again? If I shot this assignment again, I would ask the subjects to make their frames a bit neater, because the shapes made with their fingers could be a bit more precise.

Formal Portraits Retouched with Questions

Image
Questions: 1. Which portrait is your favorite and why? My favorite is the portrait of Jayminn, because his posture and subtle grin lends itself to a truly iconic portrait. It reminds me of a wholesome school picture from 2012 that you would look back at with your kids in 20 years and recall fond memories. 2. What was the easiest part of this process? The easiest part of the portrait process in my opinion was taking the photos, because it only required a simple set-up and we had the chance to take many photos and choose from our options. 3. What was the hardest part of this process? The most difficult part of the process was the retouching, because sometimes following the tutorials did not lead to the desired result, so I was forced to improvise and experiment to optimize the portraits. 1.  Before:  After: 2.  Before:  After: 3.
